Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. What We Collect
When you use Amafy, we collect:
- Account information — your email address and name when you sign up
- Usage data — how many listings you've generated and your current plan
- Product data — the Shopify product information you submit to generate listings. We do not store this permanently.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the Amafy service
- Track your usage against your plan limits
- Send important account and billing notifications
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
3. Third Party Services
Amafy uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Clerk — handles user authentication and account management
- Supabase — stores your account and usage data securely
- Stripe — processes payments. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers our AI listing generation. Product data you submit is processed by Anthropic's API.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Usage counts and billing history may be retained for legal and accounting purposes.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data

6. Cookies
Amafy uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and restricted database access. No system is 100% secure — if you discover a vulnerability please email us immediately.
8. Children
Amafy is not intended for users under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our service evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes by email. The latest version will always be at amafy.app/privacy.
